dv camcorderI bought my husband a DV camcorder last Valentine’s Day and I consider it to have been an excellent gift because he has used it extensively. My husband has used his DV camcorder on fishing and hunting trips. He has used his DV camcorder to capture memories of school concerts and a fifth grade graduation. He used it on birthdays, over the Christmas holidays and during summer break too. He also recorded parts of our summer vacation when we went to Europe and visited Scotland, England and Amsterdam. This year my husband plans to use his DV camcorder more. He will use it when my parents and other relatives come to visit us. He will also put it to use when we go on vacation to the Caribbean later this year. I know that he will also use his DV camcorder a lot in years to come. In this way my husband is collecting precious memories of our marriage together and our family. 
I really think that the DV camcorder is one of the most important of all technological innovations simply because with them we can leave some of ourselves behind even after we have met our demise.  Imagine the year is 2310 and some of your descendents are in their living room watching footage of you as you lived and breathed back in 2010. It might actually happen thanks to DV camcorders and digital technology.
